TOTO Neorest AS vs AH: What's the Difference?

TOTO Neorest AS vs AH: What's the Difference?

The TOTO Neorest AS updates the Neorest AH with a sleeker, seamless design, two extra user presets (four total), an additional EWATER+ rinse under the seat, and it's only available in Cotton instead of Cotton and Sedona Beige. It costs slightly more than the Neorest AH, but the core wash features and TORNADO flush system are the same on both.

TOTO introduced the Neorest AS in 2023 as the replacement for the Neorest AH, which has since been phased out.

So how do these two models compare? The Neorest AH and AS are similar in many ways, but there are a couple of key differences that TOTO fans should pay attention to.

  1. Color options
  2. New, sleeker design
  3. More customizable user settings
  4. New cleaning feature
  5. Price

We'll go into each of these in more detail so you can get a better idea about what's different between the Neorest AH vs AS.

Neorest AS: No more Sedona Beige

Neorest AS will only be available in TOTO’s standard color Cotton, while Neorest AH comes in Cotton and Sedona Beige. TOTO seems to be retiring sedona beige in general.

Unless your heart is set on beige, this shift to one color doesn’t seem to be too big of an issue, as most bathroom fixtures will match or complement the clean white look.

    Graceful and Seamless Design

The Neorest AS will retain the classic look of the Neorest AH, but the overall shape and design is cleaner and more streamlined.

This redesign is probably one of the most significant of the changes from the Neorest AH vs Neorest AS and it looks as beautiful as you’ve come to expect from TOTO.

You can check out the Neorest AS product dimensions below:

The shipping weight for the Neorest AS is 91lbs to the Neorest AH’s 80lbs. Not a massive change but something to note nonetheless.

    Seamless Seat

One thing you should pay attention to is the fact that the Neorest AS has an updated, seamless seat.

The new seamless toilet seat is a nice marriage of art and function. This design minimizes the gap between the seat and the bowl and helps keep dirt and debris from collecting in that hard-to-clean area.

The Neorest AS also gets an additional EWATER+ rinse underneath the new seamless seat, but we'll talk more about that in a moment.

Neorest AS: More Customizable User Settings

Another upgrade from the Neorest AH to the Neorest AS are two additional user presets.

Now with four total presets, there’s more room for specific settings like water pressure and water temperature, or for multiple family members to have their own setting.

You could even have a different setting for each of the four seasons of the year. The world is yours.

    Neorest AS: Updated EWATER+ rinse

All TOTO Neorest models use EWATER+ technology to auto-clean the wand and bowl after each use.

    So what is EWATER+ exactly?

    toto ewater feature

EWATER+ is electrolyzed water, a common technology used in food service and hospitality industries as a cleaning agent.

TOTO is the only company we know of to use it for bathroom products.

EWATER+ is a great natural cleaning agent due to being:

    • Slightly acidic (higher pH level)
    • Environmentally friendly
    • Chemical-free
    • Harmless to people

What’s new here is that the Neorest AS gets an extra rinse underneath the bidet seat in addition to the wand and bowl, a nice bonus that keeps things even more hygienic.

Other than the extra seat rinse, these two models share all the same cleaning features.

    Price

Unsurprisingly, this new redesign comes with a price difference.

The Neorest AS is slightly more expensive than Neorest AH, but they aren’t wildly different.

TOTO Neorest AH vs AS: The similarities

That covers the differences between these two models. The Neorest AS will have mostly the same features and will be roughly the same size as the Neorest AH.

But as far as similarities between the Neorest AS and AH, both models have:

I’ve read your articles of AH vs AS and RH vs RS. I’m wondering are they using the same DRAIN SOCKET (THU 6297)? or AS and RS uses different size (or different model) of drain socket? Thanks!
