TOTO Neorest AS vs RS vs LS
This is where most buyers land, and the three are closer than the prices suggest. The TOTO Neorest RS is the entry point to the Neorest line, with organic styling and a block style remote.
The TOTO Neorest AS adds a two sided metal remote and sprays EWATER+ under the seat as well as the bowl and wand, which is the clearest functional gap between the two.
The TOTO Neorest LS keeps that feature set and adds decorative metallic trim in silver, nickel, or black. All three flush at 1.0 or 0.8 GPF and carry a three year residential warranty.
TOTO Neorest NX1 vs NX2
Both flagships sit at the top of the range. The Neorest NX1 has the largest seat of any Neorest, both longer and wider than the rest of the line with added support in the back, so it's the pick if seating comfort matters most. The Neorest NX2 adds ACTILIGHT, which uses UV light, oxygen, and water with a photocatalytic glaze to break down waste in the bowl with no chemicals. That's the single feature the NX2 has and the NX1 doesn't.
TOTO Neorest Wall Hung Models
If you want to free up floor space, the Neorest WX1 and Neorest WX2 mount to the wall with an in-wall tank, and both let you set the rim height anywhere between 15 and 19 inches from the floor. They flush at 1.2 or 0.8 GPF. The WX2 is the wall hung model that includes ACTILIGHT. Wall hung installs need structural bracing in the wall, so check the Neorest installation requirements before you order.
Is a TOTO G5A a Better Fit Than a Neorest?
For a lot of bathrooms, yes. The TOTO Washlet G5A delivers the same hands-free experience, including the auto lid, auto flush, EWATER+, PREMIST, warm air dryer, and a four user remote, at roughly half the price of an entry level Neorest. The G5A Lite is the least expensive way into a fully automatic TOTO smart toilet. Both flush at 1.2 or 1.0 GPF.
