TOTO Neorest LS vs 700H: What's Different?
TOTO announced an exciting new rollout of upgraded Neorest models earlier in 2023.
The popular TOTO Neorest 700H (MS992CUMFG#01) is getting an upgrade.
In its place is the TOTO Neorest LS, the latest addition to the TOTO Neorest toilet suite.
Several other TOTO models will be discontinued this year, including the TOTO Neorest AH and TOTO Neorest RH.
If you’re looking for comparisons between these and other models, we’ve broken down what upgrades to expect with this next generation of TOTO bidets here.
So without further ado, here’s our guide to the differences between the TOTO Neorest LS vs 700H.

The main differences between the TOTO Neorest 700H vs Neorest LS are:
- Cleaning feature updates
- New customizable user settings
- More elegant design with choice of trim color
- Price
Let’s take a closer look at what these changes look like.
Updated EWATER rinse
Both the TOTO Neorest 700H and Neorest LS use EWATER technology to auto-clean the wand and bowl after each use.
So what is EWATER+ exactly?
- EWATER+ is electrolyzed water, which has a slightly acidic pH level
- Natural cleaning power without the use of harsh chemicals
We love TOTO’s self-cleaning feature and their commitment to cleanliness.
What’s new here is that the Neorest LS also gets a rinse underneath the seat, a nice upgrade that makes things even more sanitary.
Other than the extra seat rinse, these two models share all the same cleaning features.
Customizable user settings
The Neorest LS features four user’s personalized memory settings where the Neorest 700H only had two.
This is great for shared households or if you prefer different settings for different bathroom uses and allows you to save and access your preferences with ease.
This is especially helpful if you are a woman and want to save front and back washing settings.

TOTO Neorest LS: New trim color Options
The TOTO Neorest LS offers new metallic trim in three finishes:
- Silver
- Nickel
- Black
Unlike the Neorest 700H, which has no trim color options.
The TOTO Neorest LS can now conveniently match the other finishes in your bathroom.
The Silver trim comes standard; Nickel and Black finishes are available for a slight price increase.
We’re big fans of these new color options. A TOTO Neorest toilet is an investment and will be the focal point of your bathroom.
It makes sense that you can now choose a finish that will coordinate with the rest of your fixtures.
Cosmetic differences: Seat design upgrade
The Neorest LS is notably more elegant looking than the TOTO 700H and we love the new, simple, modern design.
In our opinion, this is one of the most significant upgrades between the two.
The new design not only looks incredible, but is functional as well.
Another upgrade from the TOTO Neorest 700H is a seamless seat.
TOTO has eliminated a gap that was previously in the underside of the seat and made it “seamless.”
That means dirt and bathroom debris have less of a chance of gathering in that hard-to-clean space.
Price
As you can imagine, these upgrades come with a price difference.

Other TOTO Neorest 700H comparisons
Both the TOTO Neorest 700H and the Neorest LS are in the second tier of the Neorest suite of products.
The TOTO Neorest NX2 and Neorest NX1 remain at the top of the line while the new TOTO Neorest AS and Neorest RS are the new entry-level smart bidet toilets.
While the Neorest 700H is being discontinued, it is still available for purchase while supplies last.
If you’re wondering how it compares to other Neorest models, we’ll give you a quick rundown.
As far as TOTO Neorest 700H and 750H are concerned, both these models are being discontinued. The Neorest 750H does not have a replacement in the new lineup.
The main feature that sets the 750H apart is the use of what TOTO calls ACTILIGHT.
ACTILIGHT is a special glaze built into the lid that is combined with clean light to eliminate grime on the toilet bowl.
The 750H is also nearly double the cost of the Neorest 700H because of this exclusive feature.
The TOTO Neorest NX1 will remain in the product lineup but is getting a few upgrades.

The NX line is definitely TOTO’s most beautiful design, with its smooth, soft shape. It’s also the more expensive of the two models.
The Neorest 700H has a different design and looks more functional and angular compared to the design of the NX1.
Both TOTO Neorest models share the same cleaning functions, so the difference is mainly in the appearance and composition.
The TOTO Neorest RH is also being retired and replaced with the Neorest RS. The Neorest RH is a simpler design than the 700H and comes in two colors, white and sedona beige.
The Neorest RH is less expensive than the 700H but also shares all of the same cleaning features.
