Bidets with Auto Open/Close Lids

My journey:
I started with a TOTO tank-based model 10+ years ago, but the stored water caused irritation and itching, so I stopped using it. I moved to the TOTO K300 - no irritation thanks to instant heating and EWATER+, but the spray pressure was just okay. Then I tried the Ultranova - a premium unit with really strong pressure and an enema function, but a few things didn't work for me: the lid would open even if I was across the bathroom (and the washlet was in my separate toilet room), the seat few times started to close while I was still on it, and the remote felt less elegant than TOTO’s. Its a solid washlet, but less luxurious feel compared to Toto S7A.

This toilet is incredible. The lid opens automatically to greet you, the seat is warm, the filter eliminates odors, and the warm water cleans you. I also love that the integrated lights work as a night light, so you don't have to turn on the bathroom light.

We purchased this from Premier Bidets in November 2024 and had a good experience - the heavy box arrived on a pallet and there was no damage. Make sure you have at least 2 people to bring it into the house - it is heavy!

This toilet is very expensive. Your family will fight over whose turn it is to use it. It will make you hate all other toilets. So beware, and enjoy!

I didn’t think it was necessary until I had it. Works amazing and way better than just the seat! The flushing power is phenomenal and the deodorizing feature, who needs poopuri anymore. You can’t go wrong with this one, the difference in the higher models is so marginal. Go ahead and get this one.

The TOTO S7A is a great buy. Installation was so easy. Have it up and running for a month and no issues so far.

Trustworthy company that took care of my order very quickly. The seat itself has a great look to it but the plastic scratches very easily. It can be buffed out, but be aware of that as it drives me nuts sometimes. Other than that, it's exactly what I needed.

I don't see myself needing anything more, thats for sure.

We installed the THU857 ourselves—it was very easy and works great. We disabled the auto-flush feature (via a button on the back of the remote) because we prefer to flush manually using the new button included with the kit to add to the remote control. This beats using the toilet lever. That said, the default setting is auto-flush if that’s what you want so it flushes when you get up off the seat and no button presses needed. And you can customize the delay to certain times to flush after you get up.

One minor issue: the instructions mention connecting the water feed hose to either a white or black port on the new 857 based on hose length, but there’s only a single black port. We just used that, and everything works fine.

A heads-up: the Toto S7 remote triggered our Simplehuman touch-free soap dispenser — likely due to overlapping infrared frequencies—causing soap to squirt unexpectedly. We replaced it with the Umbra Otto Automatic Touchless soap dispenser, which isn’t quite as sleek but doesn’t react to the remote.

This is a replacement for a bidet toilet I owned from another brand and the Toto out performs in all categories except the seating area. I had to talk my husband into buying this toilet. He was a bit skeptical at first but after a few days, he's a convert. I now have to bang on the door to get him out of the bathroom! It is so easy to clean too and we save so much money on not having to buy as much toilet paper. We love the sleekness of the wall hung toilet and the controls are very straight forward. If you can swing it, I strongly suggest you buy this bidet. You won't regret it.

The Toto S7 has a lot of features that gives you the best custom personal cleaning.The low profile seat gives your toilet a sleek look and the perfect location of the power chord and the water hose coming from the seat makes it easy to hide so you keep that clean look. Great water pressure with the adjustable wand, and the osicalting mode gives you the best cleaning you are hoping for. The misters prespray the toliet bowl prior to use which almost guarantees a clean bowl after a flushing.The remote is easy to use and each user has their own personal settings. The remote has clear plastic covering the control buttons so the control markings will never wear off.

I used to think bidet's were for old, eccentric folks with lots of money but after owning ours for a week, I can't believe I went this long without one.
