As the primary decision-maker in our household regarding the purchase of this toilet, I feel compelled to share our experience after having used it extensively over a significant period of time.
Cons:
One of the most disappointing aspects of this unit is its inability to maintain bowl cleanliness. Regardless of the type of waste, residue consistently adheres to the bowl’s surface, including below the waterline. This issue persists despite the pre-spray feature, which appears to have little to no effect. As a result, the toilet requires the use of a brush after nearly every use, in addition to double flushing—an inconvenience that significantly undermines the product’s appeal.
Further, the interior plastic components have begun to yellow over time. Given the premium price point of this toilet, I expected higher-grade, longer-lasting materials. Maintenance is also somewhat restrictive, as only non-abrasive and non-bleach cleaners are permitted. We have followed the manufacturer’s recommendation and use an eco-friendly hydrogen peroxide-based cleaner, but even with strict adherence, issues remain.
The deodorizing cartridge—an advanced catalytic component rather than a simple charcoal filter—is advertised to last up to two years. However, our first cartridge ceased functioning after just seven months, and the replacement is already non-operational. Despite following the manufacturer's instructions to unplug the toilet during cleaning to avoid damaging the cartridge, the lifespan remains disappointingly short. Additionally, replacement cartridges are expensive and not easy to source, which further adds to the ongoing maintenance burden.
Pros:
The unit does offer some positive features. It is aesthetically pleasing, and the heated seat adds comfort. The automatic flush function, particularly when the lid is closed, is a hygienic benefit that helps minimize germ transmission.
Conclusion:
While the design and comfort features are commendable, the ongoing maintenance requirements and poor performance in basic functionality ultimately render this product impractical for regular use. We now use it infrequently due to the need for constant cleaning. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this toilet, especially given its cost and the expectations associated with a product at this price level.
